Overview

The Xerox C303a is a compact colour laser all-in-one for a small workgroup. It prints, copies, scans and sends analogue fax at up to 32 pages per minute in both black and colour, with a first page out in as little as 8.3 seconds.

It is built for a team that shares one machine. A duplexing document feeder scans both sides of a page in one pass at up to 96 sides per minute, so a stack of double-sided contracts goes through without anyone reloading it. The 2.8 inch colour touchscreen handles setup and everyday jobs without a manual.

Security is handled at three levels: the device itself, the data on it, and the network it sits on. That matters more than it sounds for a shared printer, because a networked MFP with a hard drive is a common weak point on a small office network.

Recommended volume is 750 to 5,000 pages a month, with a maximum duty cycle of 75,000. High yield cartridges run to 6,200 pages in black and 6,400 in colour, which keeps the running cost down if you print regularly.

Running costs

Ships with starter cartridges rated at 1,300 pages black and 1,200 pages each in cyan, magenta and yellow. High yield replacements reach 6,200 pages black and 6,400 pages colour. Cartridges are returnable through the Xerox Supplies Recycling Program.
